The project I’m most proud of is MCON, the first side-DAO conference created for MetaCartel after MakerDAO. It wasn’t just about organizing an event—it was about proving that decentralized communities could self-organize and create meaningful, high-quality gatherings without relying on traditional structures.
What made MCON truly special was the context in which it was born. We launched it during a time of strict COVID restrictions and uncertain market conditions, yet we managed to ignite a movement that led to a fully decentralized event in Denver after 2021. It wasn’t just another conference—it was a proof of concept for how Web3 communities could fund, organize, and execute real-world events in a truly decentralized way.
MCON set a precedent for community-driven conferences in the ecosystem, showing that DAOs could fund and host events without intermediaries. It was a defining moment where we proved that Web3 isn’t just about protocols and tokens—it’s about people coming together to build something meaningful.
